NCSU Pest Alert System
This pest and pesticide alert system is
provided by the North Carolina Cooperative
Extension Service and the
NSF Center for IPM at NCSU.
It is meant for access by Hand Held Web Devices, such as
internet-ready phones and wireless Palm Pilots. However,
the system can be viewed from a regular browser by clicking on the links at the bottom
of this page.
- To use a web-ready wireless phone, the URL is:
http://cipm.ncsu.edu/alerts/wap/alert1.cfm
- To use the Palm Pilot VII wireless, you must first download the pqa file and install
it on your Palm Pilot as described in your Palm Pilot User's Guide. Right-click on the file
PestAlert.pqa below and select "save link as", to download the file
PestAlert.pqa
- If you are a cooperator in providing alerts and want access to provide alerts,
please contact us for the necessary Palm pqa file.
If you are interested in this system for other uses or states, please
contact us. All software developed by CIPM is shareware and
available free of charge.
